News...

Just a quick post, I've got lots I need to get done this morning...and never enough time...The washing machine is whirring away as I type so at least some work is getting done!!
Yesterday was just as busy as Saturday, Ian preached at the 8am service, and then we went to Julienne's for breakfast. Then back to church for 10.30am. After lunch we went with Mum to get petrol and then Ian signed her up for broadband.Back at church in the evening...

Two big announcements at church yesterday, Nick, one of our curates, announced that he will be leaving in September to take up a position at Oak Hill Theological College in London in September, to teach and do a PhD. This will be a good move for him, though it's going to be a busy few months for them, as his wife is expecting their second child, due in July!
The other announcement was that Chris and Jenny have got engaged, this wasn't unexpected but is really lovely :-)
Here's a picture of them both while they were decorating on Saturday, they look so radiantly happy together:

Aw, an engagement is always nice. They look like a great couple!

How is Ian finding the preaching, along with his job? Would he ever want to be a full time minister?

They look like a great couple! - they are just so happy together...

Life has got really busy for both of us just recently, our diaries for the next couple of weeks are a bit silly...Ian is fine with the preaching, as long as we can schedule a couple of free evenings - but I don't think he'd enjoy some of the other parts of being a full time minister - all the pastoral stuff!! - Oh and I don't much want to be a vicar's wife *g*

I think I'd like that a lot! It couldn't be Steve though! I'd have to find another husband LOL! And I guess it couldn't be a Catholic one either *snort*

Do make sure you take time to have some time off, both of you. I think that's really important, huh.

We're going away to Germany for a few days after Easter, and then we have a boy free weekend when we get home, they are all going to a camp at Bala in Wales, so that will be a good time to relax after a couple of crazy weeks! The busyness includes lots of fun too which helps!!

I do know quite a nice single guy who is a vicar...*g*

Germany and then a boy-free weekend - that sounds great! And will give you time to perk up any flagging energy levels.

Yes I'm looking forward to Easter - and the week after...should be fun...

So when are you having some time off? *g*

Time off? This is probably it LOL!
I guess we need to go up to my mother's after Easter... just me and the children, probably.

They do look really happy!

I found the 'decorating' poem but I think you'll have to borrow the whole book. Anyway, Colin has wondered off with the scanner (he bought me a state of the art one so that he could borrow it ...) so you would have to wait!

Does any of the busy life include that Manchester trip you mentioned or is that over? We're going down to London next week - Tuesday - for a few days.

I would still like to come over to Manchester, but I've sort of given up on the idea of meeting with Steve, he's so busy that I can scarcely get answers to email at the moment...So if you'd like to meet up sometime I'd be happy to!! - and I'd love to see the book too...

I'm free Thursday, then next week is taken! Then Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (26th, 28th, 29th) are clear, after which I suspect it's almost Easter!!

I have an appointment at 9am this Thursday, but would be free to come over after that, I could certainly be over before lunch time... It might be better to go for that, when we both know we are available, than going for a date further out which might not work... of the other dates I could probably only make the 29th at this stage...
So I would suggest meeting just before lunch time this Thursday if that works for you.

Works for me! Where? I arrive in Picadilly - do you? If so, maybe the station somewhere? I'll bring the book!

Yes I arrive in Piccadily too, so meeting somewhere in the station makes sense. Looking at train times I think it would be safest to arrange to meet just after noon, I could possibly manage an earlier time but... Is that okay with you? Do you want to suggest a meeting point at the station?

Thursday. Round about noon or just after. Piccadilly station. As you come out of the platforms there are rows of seats facing away from the platforms towards the information area. Either sitting on or standing near one of those would be practical! Then we can decide where to go! Looking forward to seeing you!
