Zoo

In just a few minutes I will be off to Chester Zoo, to join Little Fishes in the Barnardo's Toddle. The weather is damp again this morning after a dry day yesterday, so I'm hoping it won't rain too hard. David will already be on his way to Oxford where he is going for an overnight stay.

Last night I found time to paint (though I probably should have been doing other things). Here is my favourite of the pictures I painted...

That looks like glorious wishful thinking, considering the weather we've been having! Lovely, anyway!

Hope the toddle doesn't turn into a paddle!

That looks like glorious wishful thinking, considering the weather we've been having! - memories of Italy really... but it certainly beats rain!!

We got a bit damp at the zoo... and children wearing wellingtons did manage to find puddles to paddle in, but the rest of us could avoid them!

Brave, going to the zoo considering the weather. But the painting is wonderful, I love it!!! It's so colourful and European looking. Maybe it's the light. The houses. The poppies. Definitely not a NZ painting. Very clever, Viv.

My friend Beverley always said my paintings were very English... but I was aiming for Italian this time...

The zoo was good, a mixture of sunshine and showers, but pleasant enough!! More about that later...
