Life is very strange...

This time last week I was just arriving back in Liverpool after a day spent in Bradford at a Trustee's meeting. The meeting proved useful for the purposes for which I went, a website building project... but before the meeting was an hour gone, I found myself voted on as a Trustee!! This will be both useful and interesting I think... Ian says he is not in the least surprised...but I was somewhat taken aback!! It was great to see my friend John there, I had not seen him for twenty years, the last time was on my wedding day! Since then I have spent most of my time in the Pacific, and he has spent most of his in Mongolia... but what surprised me was that he really hadn't changed at all...

Since then I have had a week full of all the usual activities and some not so usual ones too!!
Last night and this morning we had the Christmas Craft Sale at church. I spent time on Thursday and Friday helping prepare for that:

Today I went over to Crosby with a few others for a "Pamper Day" - not really my sort thing normally, but I have to admit it was really good fun, even though I left early in order to be at the Grammar School fair this afternoon! I now have blue fingernails and purple toenails to show for my efforts! - as well as some vouchers for a free back and neckmassage and a facial!!

I spent the afternoon at school Christmas fair, where from my vantage point at the Teddy Tombola, I could see the evidence of the sixth form boys' wicked scheme to inundate the grocery tombola with beans!!!

Despite this, the fair seems to have been a great success, raising more £3000 before the raffle and programmes sales are added.

All in all, I've had really wonderful and successful week in so many ways... I am very thankful!

Hey be careful running into old friends. A good friend of ours met an old friend at a school reunion and ran off with him last week, to the desperate horror of her husband, children, friends and community! I'm wondering what we'll say next time we run into her.

It does sound like you had a good week. That's great.

The toenails are fab! Pity the weather isn't really conducive to showing them off...!!
