Turning for home

This will be my last entry from Maderno, later this morning we are heading to Lucerne via Milan. Yesterday we haeded across the lake to Malcesine, a lovely medieval town with castle we saw from the ferry earlier in the week. We spent a couple of hours down in the town and then took the cable car far up Monte Baldo into the snow clad mountains.

Here are some pictures, short of time for more details this morning!!!:

The hydrofoil which took us to Malcesine

A pretty little church, up on a hill in the village

A closer look at the castle

The lovely centre of the town

The cable car which took us up the mountain

Wide open spaces and snow covered mountains at the top

A final look at the castle

The pretty harbour of Malcesine

Those hills look like the ones at the end of The Sound of Music! I love your pics, I feel almost like we passed through ourselves. Thanks so much for sharing them. It sounds like a good journey that you've had.

Sounds like you are getting around but tell me are you enjoying it?! Are you travelling with just your mum or are their other people in your group?

We are with a group, this has some frustrations, but mostly I am having a great time... On our way home now.
