The shed

Today was a pretty ordinary day except that we cleared out our shed where there were stored many family treasures, including heaps of postcards, embroideries I'd forgotten I'd ever bought, photos, stamps, old toys, treasured books etc. It was hard work but it was also sort of fun, like a voyage of self discovery. Later in the day David went to a christian concert in town, while I went out to paint with Beverley. We both painted small square pictures which are going to be gifts for each other. Neither is finished yet but they are both looking good. Then I painted a rather sad picture, it was nice but sad I'm not sure why!
Anyway I'm back home now and ready for bed, as you'll see I added a visible name to my new icon, I'm not sure about the font/colour I've chosen though!

Ooh you're clever! Better size anyway!

I hope I didn't give you any sad vibes.
Maybe it's a leaving sadness.

I used to get ringbark to sort out all my pictures and icons, but I got tired of waiting for him to get round to it so I taught myself! The methods I use are pretty clumsy but I usually get something close to what I want in the end!!

I think leaving sadness may have been part of it, but I think part of it was a reflection of the mood of my friend's teenage son's mood, which was very sad and introspective last night. I won't blame you for the sadness in the picture though I miss you when you're to too sad to talk here!
