Camp and things

Last week the boys and I went to a camp in Wainuiomata. It was a very busy but enjoyable week. Activities included canoing, abseilling, horseriding, confidence course and a trip to the local outdoor swimming pool which has a very popular waterslide. Probably my favourite activity was walking to Red Rocks, where there is a seal colony. We saw a number of seals, also fish, shrimps, crabs and masses of paua shells. The weather was glorious throughout the camp and the food was delicious and plentiful. On Saturday we attended a Medieval Jousting Tournament taking place in Harcourt Park in Upper Hutt. (Site where some of the Isengard scenes from LOTR were filmed.)That event was colourful and interesting! Sunday was a busy day at church.
This week has been pretty quiet really. On Tuesday we went to see Two Towers for the third time! I still enjoyed it, roll on the video!! I've also bought and durasealed most of the boys school stationery, so I think we are just about ready for the return to school. Today we went round to Sandra's house. The boys blobbed on the computers all day, while we blobbed in the spa pool!
Next week Chris is going on holiday to Napier with his school friend John and his family. We plan to join him in Hastings/Napier the following Sunday. While there we hope to catch up with other friends in Hawkes Bay.
That's all for now, more soon(ish).

Re. camp and things
Some people have all the luck. It sounds a wonderful camp, the boys must have loved it. You certainly do lots of interesting things. Give are love to Hastings. Are you staying at Frimley Lodge?
