Jan. 2nd, 2006

When Chris woke up today he announced that he had lost the screw out of his glasses on the way downstairs. Of course we couldn't find the screw which left Chris minus glasses, wallet and travel card (that was in the wallet). After lunch Ian and I went to Birkenhead to get Chris's glasses fixed. That was accomplished easily and Ian bought himself a cd while I bought some more stuff to use to make cards. We also found a cd which I knew Mum had been looking for so we bought that too, and dropped it round to her place on our way home. It was Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary today, so it was nice to be able to surprise her with something!
I cooked a roast chicken for tea tonight, but when I picked up my bag of potatoes, guess what I saw, yes Christopher's red wallet was sitting there right under the potatoes. Don't ask why, or how it got there, I have no idea, but I'm really glad we found it, it will save us lots of hassle.
The evening was very pleasant, watching an episode of Morse, making cards and drinking coffee. Now it must be nearly bedtime!

Wallet
I know it wasn't Christopher that put the wallet under the potatoes because Christopher doesn't know much about spuds. About a week before Christmas Christopher asked me what something was in my kitchen. He asked, "Are they stones"? Nope, they were potatoes. Unwashed mind, straight from the farm. Glad the wallet was found though! Even been looking in Ben's playroom just in case it ended up there somehow.

Re: Wallet
I always buy washed potatoes cause I hate the muddy water! so he probably doesn't recognise unwashed ones! He cerainly eats enough potatoes, though not as many as Matthew.
I think he probably left the wallet there, but someone else, possibly me moved the bag of potatoes, either way we've found it now, phew!!
