Tonight I managed to find the other two cds I needed for the order!! Steve's son was working on his car outside the rectory when we arrived to pick Chris up from Pathies tonight, and he went and found them for me. Now I can deliver them tomorrow, really pleased and a little relieved!!

That's great! At least it has flagged to you that you need to have access to a minimum stock level!

Re: CD's
Yeah, I'll get some stock organised as soon as Steve comes back. But his son was really helpful and said it was okay if I needed to get more, so that really helps, even if he is hard to catch!

Yeah, that's great that you found them! And found the son awake and outside the rectory door *g*

It has certainly made life a whole lot simpler!

Yeah, it's awful having things like that on your mind. Like it's become your responsibility, but you can't solve it. But you have *g*

I had to solve it somehow really, I had a list of ideas of how to deal with the situation from emailing the buyer to explain the situation, to part-supplying the order with a packing note explaining the other item/s were on backorder and would be supplied asap. But actually supplying the goods that someone has ordered and payed for has to be the most satisfactory solution, and I was hanging out to see if I could manage that. Now I will so I am really pleased! I've even designed a cool packing slip! It looks something like this

Yes I like the form and I've hidden it up on the net in case I need one again sometime in the future!

And too much spare time sounds like heaven! It has its moments, but it's a very fine balance between too busy and not busy enough!!
