I finally found some time to paint this morning, I made an icon out of one of them. In the afternoon i went round to Kathryn's house, and after tea I messed around with an assortment of image related things for websites, (not ones that I run on this occasion!). Anyway here are the paintings:

Gosh, your skies are really developing. Viv Turner *g*
These are good. I especially like the last one, it has great movement and depth and contrast - Christy likes that last one best too. But she likes them all!

I'm so thrilled you are still able to make time to paint. It's great. Makes me feel good too for several reasons - one that it's great to have a friend who is being so creative; two that they are spiritual journey kind of paintings and I like that; three, if I have a friend being creative, I feel like it gives me more licence to be creative too; four, I benefit from your paintings because sometimes they say things I have on my own mind; and five, they're just lovely, fun paintings full of life and movement and colour!

Thank you for sharing.

The first painting was inspired by a rainbow that I saw on a very wet, gloomy day, standing at the station waiting for a train. I was feeling a bit miserable I guess, then I looked up and saw a rainbow lighting up the sky, and thought that there is always hope... it was that day that Ian finally got a job offer....

The second painting was inspired by Hebrews chapter 12 where it talks about a great cloud of witnesses, and running the race!

The third painting was inspired by Steve's song, "Still journey on", which happened to be playing when I had some paint left on the palette which I needed to use up!! - the best paintings often happen like that!!

- maybe I'll make an icon out of that one too...

Anyway thank you for your comments, it's nice to know people enjoy my paintings - though I think I would still paint even if no one did!!

I feel the same about writing! Even if it were just for me, I'd still do it.

Steve has been a good inspiration, huh. A good man! It's good to know there are still good men out there ;)

The rainbow is absolutely lovely! I like the third picture, too. You can definitely feel the distance the figures have to walk and the hugeness of the sky.

The rainbow I saw in real life was glorious...very inspiring!

There does seem to be a lot of space in the third picture, wasn't intentional really, just happened, but I like it all the same!
