Sheffield and other things...

It's been a few days since I've posted anything here, though I've been popping in and out from time to time and commenting here and there...

The main happening over the past few days was our trip to Sheffield, to see Steve at the "Blow your blues away" event.

As I mentioned in my last post I finished an owl jigsaw the day before I went, here is the photographic evidence:

It was a lovely picture, but a fiendishly difficult puzzle in places!!

The trip to Sheffield was great,(apart from a few issues with trains on the outward journey). Sheffield's changed a lot since Ian and I used to meet there in my student days... but I'd love to go back there soon and explore a bit more. We found our way out to Christ Church, Fulwood, in good time, the venue was well decorated, the food was delicious (especially the pavlova, the best I've tasted since I left NZ), we met some interesting people there and it was great to see Steve again. We even managed to sell a few CDs!!
Here are a couple of photos from the event:

Steve, and playing in his band was Norman Barratt (who is rather better known than Steve, as a member of the Barratt Band in the eighties!) See below:

Anyway it was great fun...

Today Ian has managed to finish writing his sermon, we've been to an open day at the rectory and we've had an Asda order delivered. I sorted lots of laundry and changed some pages on websites too, I ought to be typing hymns tonight...don't hold your breath!!

Re: jig saw
I will look forward to hearing more about Sheffield and CD sales soon. Yes, would love to do coffee early next week...if you want to suggest a time! And thanks for all the help you gave Mum while we were away!

That sure is an impressive jigsaw. Lovely.

And I'm glad you're having fun with music, and getting good pav too!!

I missed your posts but I knew you were around, because you were at my place *g* which is wonderful.

*muses* I think I'd like an electric guitar...

The pav was really good!!

*muses* I think I'd like an electric guitar... - why not, now would be a good time to try something new, and as you can already play guitar...

Congratulations on the jigsaw. Gail bought me a 3D one. Watch this space but don't hold your breath!

I could come and help....I love puzzles of all shapes and sizes, but I've banned myself from starting another one until I've done some of the jobs I need to do, tonight I need to make some cards, more of that later...
