The main happening over the past few days was our trip to Sheffield, to see Steve at the "Blow your blues away" event.
As I mentioned in my last post I finished an owl jigsaw the day before I went, here is the photographic evidence:
It was a lovely picture, but a fiendishly difficult puzzle in places!!
The trip to Sheffield was great,(apart from a few issues with trains on the outward journey). Sheffield's changed a lot since Ian and I used to meet there in my student days... but I'd love to go back there soon and explore a bit more. We found our way out to Christ Church, Fulwood, in good time, the venue was well decorated, the food was delicious (especially the pavlova, the best I've tasted since I left NZ), we met some interesting people there and it was great to see Steve again. We even managed to sell a few CDs!!
Here are a couple of photos from the event:
Steve, and playing in his band was Norman Barratt (who is rather better known than Steve, as a member of the Barratt Band in the eighties!) See below:
Anyway it was great fun...
Today Ian has managed to finish writing his sermon, we've been to an open day at the rectory and we've had an Asda order delivered. I sorted lots of laundry and changed some pages on websites too, I ought to be typing hymns tonight...don't hold your breath!!
