Lent and soy sauce!!!!

Yesterday was busy, even though I had nothing planned...

It started when I received a CD order first thing. When I went to pick up a CD from the pile in the morning room I found that a number of the cases had some miscellaneous brown/black goo on them - further investigation revealed that this was soy sauce, which had been knocked out of the cupboard above where I store the CDs...I was not happy! I spent the next hour or so cleaning CD cases, about a dozen were affected. Luckily CD cases are remarkably liquid proof and soy sauce had only penetrated the interior of two cases so the rest were just superficial cleaning jobs and are now back as good as new. Of the other two, the CDs inside the cases were not affected at all, one had a slightly damaged front sleeve and the other a slightly damaged back sleeve, so I have swapped them over leaving me with one saleable CD and one which isn't, though the damage is only stained corners on the front and back sleeves... so if any one would like a cheap CD...
So not a disaster really! but please would everyone here be careful!!!

Anyway eventually I got the order in the mail, and printed some newsletters and music which had been in my to-do-list for a few days, then after lunch the boys and I went to town to buy new school shoes and a birthday present for Chris (though his birthday is still a couple of weeks away). In the evening we had pancakes, some people had pancakes with maple syrup, some with icecream, some with Grand Marnier, some with sugar and bananas. I had savoury pancakes with mushrooms and cottage cheese baked in the oven to make them extra crispy - mmmm....

Today, I am planning to go to an Ash Wednesday service this morning, shopping in Birkenhead with Mum this afternoon and I'm leading a prayer meeting this evening... need to do washing and tidy and stuff too! I guess today will be busy as well!
