Wet wet wet

It has been incredibly wet here today, persistent rain all day, which finally stopped just about teatime. Flooded pavements, flooded roads, flooded gardens, flooded railway tracks - nothing too serious, just inconvenient and a bit annoying. Still, despite the weather I managed to go and see Kathryn, and get to my meeting at Alison's house. Even got some washing dry (indoors of course!)
But it really is WET

Maybe tomorrow will be drier?!

We saw the flooding on the news. I can't believe a guy died because his foot was caught in a flooded, cold drain, how horrific. I said a silent prayer for him.

I hope things get better there, it is summer, after all. Here it is the usual bitterly cold, wild southerly that hits some time in winter and clings on. My fingers are frozen just now after taking Christy to clarinet. I'm going to make coffee.

I wish we could meet up for that coffee, I'd love to chat ;)

I would love to meet for coffee...

The weather is better here today, dry but still not really summer weather... but I'm definitely glad not to be sharing your southerly!!

I hope the awful floods do not spread further southwards. It all looks horrific. We watched the RAF rescue people working late last night. My heart goes out to those who lose everything.

The rain here has only been an inconvenience here, rather disastrous, but I certainly hope this weather dies down and does not go on to damage elsewhere..
