Winter is here!

We finally got to a bonfire night last Friday at a farm down in Willaston, it was great fun, but rather windy. I was a bit worried about Gary who was setting off the fireworks as the fire sent sparks and ashes in his direction!

This week started cold and wintery with frost covering the leaves which are currently carpeting our back garden and the weather has remained cold and wintery since...

Even when the sun is shining there is no warmth in it... and I am dreaming of warmer climes, a return to the tropics sounds good! - but then a trip anywhere always sounds good to me!! Which is just as well because tomorrow I find myself heading off to Bradford for the day, to be part of a trustees meeting for a charity, in the context of trying to get a website set up for them. To be with them in time I will need to be up in time I will need to catch the 6.03am train out of Bromborough... I will be back mid evening just in time to go to Trish's 40th party!!! - And then Ian is preaching at the 8am Communion service the following morning!!!!

Meanwhile today I'm leading the study at Coffee Plus today, I've got a prayer meeting in the afternoon and Justin and Julienne coming for dinner this evening.

In other news I received an email offering me some work yesterday! - it was totally unexpected but very welcome... it is only a few hours a week so will fit in with my other activities, and is web-related so will be interesting...

Lovely news about the work offer!

I was in Hobbycraft the other day and saw feathers and masks and things and thought of you...

Last night the weather woman on BBC for our region said the sun wouldn't do much except look nice because of all that long overnight cold!
