Yesterday we caught a ferry down the lake to Sirmione, a very lovely little town situated on a long thin peninsula jutting out into Lake Garda. Sirmione is notable mainly for a beautiful castle and the remains of a Roman Villa. Both are open Tuesday to Sunday... so we visited on a Monday!!
Despite this it is a beautiful little town, with lovely olive groves, wild flowers and lake views, once the home of Maria Callas. So here are some pictures from the day:

Oh, I really love the olive grove. Kind of Gethsemane look about it. I love your pics, thanks for sharing them here. You're seeing some wonderful sights.
