Isle of Man - day 3

Today we caught the steam railway to Castletown.

There we went to see Castle Rushen, which was quite impressive, both without and within:

The view from the top was great, but the weather outside made the dungeons seem like warm, comfortable accomodation! As you will see Ian was improvising for rain shelter!

We then carried on on the steam train to the end of the line at Port Erin, where we had a pleasant lunch at a hotel.

The weather remained changeable but we managed to explore the beach area a bit!
Here is Bradda Head, seen from Port Erin:

Here are some pictures from down at the beach:

Chris off to explore a cave:

And Matthew watching the tide come in:

It was a good day, but we are hoping for drier weather tomorrow!!

Great pics! I really want to go now, especially because I have a flister on the Isle.

Here's wishing you sun tomorrow! See? Icon!

Like most British Isles holidays you are at the mercy of the weather - and 'they' wonder why we all go abroad! But the beach and caves and tide look impressive and the boys seem to be enjoying themselves, which is what you wanted most.

Hi Everyone
It looks like you are all having fun even if the weather is not the best. The castle looked very old, I would love to see that one, one day.
Glad to see Chris doing so well.

Love Sandra
