I have had a really busy weekend. On Friday morning I went to Coffee Plus as usual, and after that I went up yo the church hall to organise lunch for all the people who had been setting up the Craft Fair, was there until about 4pm. I was back at the hall in the evening, manning a stall for part of the time, and trying to spend my money the rest of the time, though my sons made a better job of that than me!! I was there again on Saturday morning, manning a stall for the whole session, and then helping to pack up the hall!

Straight after that, I was on my way to Wirral Grammar School, where I was supposed to be helping on the toy stall, but they were short of people for Santa's grotto, so I ended up doing that instead, at least I didn't have to wear a silly costume!!

The Craft fair has made about £4500 so far, but they are taking produce to sell at various church events this week, so the proceeds will be bigger than that in the end, an amazing effort really!

Our best deal this weeekend was the bike we bought for Christopher at the Grammar School for £15, the strangest purchase was the
pipe that David decided to buy...no idea why!!

We had a lovely service at church yesterday morning, Steve B was talking about faithfulness in little things giving us strength to face the big things when they come. After church we had lunch round at Mum's place, very tasty, and then the boys went home while Ian and I went to a short prayer meeting at Ifan's place, before catching the train to Manchester to go to the evening service at Platt and to see Steve and Rachel. It was a good service and it was great to see Steve and Rachel. Rachel had only arrived home on Saturday, after her mum had died on Friday, following another stroke the previous weekend.

It made for a very late night arriving home just after midnight, the journey home was straightforward, despite it being rail replacement buses between Rock Ferry and Bromborough.

I think this week is all set to be quite busy too, we have David's parent teacher interviews this evening, though I had a chat to his physics teacher on Saturday while he was dressed in a Santa Suit!!
