Chris in hospital

Chris had a cold all of last week, over the weekend his eye became irritated and sore. Suspecting an infection we took him into the hospital yesterday to get it checked out.

Because he is neutropenic at the moment they will treat any infection very aggressively, so he has been kept in and is on 6 hourly intravenous antibiotics for at least 48 hours... he's not thrilled really, nor me... just hoping that the infection will respond really quickly and he'll be back home soon.

Sorry to hear that. I was just thinking about Chris on and off all day yesterday, thinking how fortunate he'd been not to end up in hospital for IVs and wondering how he was doing.

So, lets hope that temperature of his stays down and the A/Bs do their work and he gets out and home ASAP.

Vivh, how long does your journey to hospital to see him take?

Somewhere around 40 minutes in a car, or just over an hour by train and bus.

It's hard on top of having your son in hospital in the first place. Can't imagine it is much fun for you in London at a time like this either. Thinking of you all and hope Chris's temp gets down and stays down and he escapes soon.
