I enjoyed another gloriously hot day today, though some on our tour seemed to think it was a little too hot!!
We started the day with a trip to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue a little village situated on an island in the middle of the Sorgue River, apparently it is known as the Venice of Provence, though its outstanding feature seemed to be waterwheels!!





Then we travelled on to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, a lovely tranquil village, at the source of the Sorgue, we had lunch here and walked along the river:







After that we travelled north through heavy traffic to Orange where we took a look at the Roman Theatre and other Roman remains nearby:









Tomorrow sadly we will be setting off for home...

A bit different from the weather you had last year for the Laxey wheel! If you are on your way home already please bring some sunshine with you!
