In Copenhagen - part 2

On Saturday we spent most of the day in the Tivoli Gardens right in the centre of the city. It is a beautiful park with lots of entertaining rides.
Here are a few pictures from the gardens:

After we had finished in Tivoli we went for a walk along the canal along to Neuhaven which is very attractive with its brightly coloured houses:

Wow, thanks for sharing these pics, they are brilliant. Once again you find these beautifully coloured houses in rows!

I love the apparent clashes of culture in these pics!

The statue reminds me of Pania of the Reef!

The Little Mermaid statue I have a picture of there is not the original Little Mermaid for which the city is famous, but a copy by the same sculptor which has been donated to Tivoli Gardens by his family. The original is currently in the World Expo in Shanghai and there is a screen giving a live feed from Shanghai where the statue normally sits - I will post a pic of it in my final entry from our trip.... It is a very small statue to be an icon of a city, and yes very similar to Pania, I find many similarities between NZ and Scandanavia!!
