Goodnight

Just a very short entry, because it is very late and I am very tired and should probably have retired to bed a while ago, but I decided to check my email and look at live journal first! Today was an interesting day at school, because lots of children fell to pieces behaviourwise, I guess the honeymoon is over, having said which, my day was actually quite peaceful and pleasant, I was just aware of lots of rather ragged children in the vicinity. I managed to get to an optician today, who was able to fix Chris's glasses which were broken at school yesterday. The boys went to music after school and then to the swimming pool with youth group. This gave me an evening at home by myself, which felt rather luxurious but sadly passed all too quickly. Tomorrow will be another busy day, so I ought to go to bed now, goodnight.

Oh Viv, I am so sorry about your Dad, that is such sad news. Does this mean you will think about travelling over there too?

SO we're well into February and schools are up and running, and yeah, the honeymoon period is winding up and the usual problems will resurface in the playground and elsewhere. I'm kind of glad I'm so part time at the moment! So little responsibility at work LOL!

I will travel for the funeral, but probably not before, I was lucky to spend some really good time with Dad in September, but when we said goodbye we both knew it was probably for the last time. If I could see him again it would be wonderful but the timing is so difficult from here. Above all I'm hoping that Ian will get back here and we'll have a couple of peaceful weeks together, but if that doesn't happen so be it, there's no point worrying about things you can't change!

Well, it's good you were able to do that.

Gosh, I hope you do too.
Sleep well.
