Good bye

I received a phone call from Ian a few minutes ago to tell me that Dad had just died. He died peacefully in his sleep and both Mum and Ian were with him. That means that I'll probably be flying off to England sometime in the next 24 hours but it is too early in the morning here to talk to any one yet, either to book flights or to reorganise the commitments which I have over the next couple of weeks. It may be a little while until I have time to write anything on LJ but I will post an entry when I can.

Condolences to you and the boys. I've just had a coffee with your Mum and talked with her for about an hour. Obviously she is very tearful, but has things straight in her mind of what has to be done over the next couple of days. Unfortunately I will be in London, but Leah will be with her in the morning when they have to go to the hospice to collect some things. Gill (Jill) phoned when I was there and will be available on Thursday and Friday if your Mum needs her.
I am sure you can't wait to get here now, as soon as flights allow. Your Mum is hoping that you will be able to stay with her at her house and not be staying at the now empty house. I will see you when I get back from London - God Bless.

Re: Sorry
I'm already at the airport as I type this. Thanks for being there, I will stay where ever Mum wants, though I am glad the other house is there, because I'm sure Mum will want times of solitude as well as times together. The hours cannot pass quickly enough until I am in England, but I also worry about the boys staying with friends away from everything they know at this really sad times. I just pray that God will care for us all until we are reunited, it is just such a very hard, sad time for everyone, but every one both in England and NZ have been so very kind. God bless
