Lots happening

It's been nearly a week since I last put an entry in here, it's been a day or two since I even read LJ. I find I've missed a whole lot of drama in takahe's guinea pig hutch and people have been talking about me and I didn't even know, not that I mind!
A lot has happened here, our cat Sooty died, I gave my last speech at Toastmasters, I've given our bedroom a spring clean, and done lots of other general cleaning and tidying. I've also written and posted letters to many of our friends around the world to tell them about our move, and some of them have reached their destination, as I've had a few phonecalls in response. I've got a new laptop which I have used to design change of address cards to give to people here, I've booked the school hall for 25th June and I've done my normal bits and pieces up at school. Last night we went to see Star Wars episode III, Revenge of the Sith, which was excellent. We now have reservations on flights and for hotels, and an itinerary to look at and share. There is still a lot to do; more cleaning and tidying, getting another skip to throw out yet more junk, selling the house, organising school things both here and in the UK, selling/disposing of furniture and other items and organising airfreight etc etc.
To top it all I've been called for jury service the week before we are due to leave so I guess that will be another letter I need to write.

I'm most interested in the estimated date and time of arrival in the UK. Will be able to see what we can sort then for pick up at the airport. I still can't fully believe that so much change is about to happen. I took your Mum to ASDA yesterday, and we were saying how enormously brave you all are to make such a dramatic change. I found it stressful enough just moving a few miles down the road. To come back all the way around the world with all the organising that entails and really so quickly after deciding is an enormous challenge. If there is anything I can do on this side of the world let me know.

Re: itinerary
As we said on the phone we will be flying to London and then coming up by train, not sure of the timing yet but a lift from the station(Liverpool or Runcorn or even Chester) would probably be really helpful,I will let you know the details nearer the time. Do you have any strong preferences for which station is easier to collect people from? If you do, please let us know.

Oh dear, it barely seems real, that you're going!
As if it has made a difference to me, where you are, but it has. I've loved having flist people in my hemisphere.
Your itinerary looks fantastic. I am so jealous!!! I think it'll be great.

The guinea pigs are in Berlin now, with the wall.
