Safe in London

We arrived at Heathrow just after 10 o'clock. Finding the Tube closed we chose to take a taxi, as we travelled into London it became apparent that all was far from well in the nation's capital. News is filtering through slowly, but almost everything is closed today, so now we're at the hotel we won't be going anywhere today and it remains to be seen how possible it will be to travel up to Wirral tomorrow, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm just so glad that we are all safe, it felt strange to find ourselves right in the middle of a terrorist crisis but at least everyone we know seems to be okay, the only person I haven't been able to contact is Mum who was due to travel home from Richmond today, so I hope she is okay.

Re: Halliday family
It was really strange when we arrived in Lonon because we didn't know what was happening, but our taxi had a radio going and news was coming through every few minutes so we soon caught up.

Yes but not only because we missed the explosions, just think how early we would have had to get up!
