Well today has been quite a productive day, even though I haven't done much really. Andrew came round and changed the light fittings in the living room and bathroom. Dyno-rod came and cleaned out the two drains that have been blocked since we arrived here! And Asda delivered the groceries we ordered yesterday. Ian attacked the living room ceiling again while I continued my assault on the kitchen floor. I popped round to Mum's early in the afternoon, had a coffee and fixed her radio. Chris is trying to find out about The Battle of Hastings and shortly Ian and I will be going out a church housegroup for the first time. It's pouring with rain at the moment which isn't very encouraging but I'm sure we'll manage.

Well, Dyno-rod sounds mysteriously interesting, better than Drain Guy, I guess! It does sound, as I just said to Ian, that you're getting around the house with some measure of success. I hate the thought of all that nicotine on the ceilings!! I know Steve had that problem when he bought this house.

And it's really fine and calm here this morning, which is nice. We are all on holiday, having a quiet morning eating last night's pizza for breakfast! *g*

Ah, that brings back fond memories. And I'm sure we will do it again soon.
