I went to coffee plus yesterday morning, it was really lovely, and I'm really starting to feel I belong there rather than being a newcomer! After that I came home and had lunch, but Ian and David were out in Birkenhead buying a new fluorescent tube for the morning room, so now we have light in there and won't have to eat any more candle lit dinners or breakfasts for a while! Mid afternoon I went round for a coffee with Mum. Then the evening was spent going backwards and forwards to the church hall for Pathies, it was bitterly cold! We got a lift home at the end so I just had time to watch Morse and do some more cardmaking and invitations and things.

Chris has found an interesting programme which allows you to produce midi files by typing in all the notes into the programme, it's not too difficult to use, but is slower than writing a song on manuscript paper, so I spent ages typing in a song to produce a 49 second midi file, still it's quite impressive technology. I've played the tune I wrote so often that the rest of the family are all humming it by now!

Tonight we've invited some friends round to tea, three of them are vegetarians, so it's an interesting challenge to come up with a menu which will suit them and my carnivorous sons, I'll let you know how I get on! I also can't help noticing that there are going to be 9 people sitting down to dinner and that we only currently have 8 chairs to accomodate them, but I'm sure I'll find a way to fix that! Now I really must get out to the shops!

Well, I though it sounded lovely!!! I love candles.
And I know all about the vegetarian conundrum. Daughter (and partner ) are firmly in the vegetarian camp, but husband goes into terminal decline without meat!

Candlelit dinners aren't bad, but have you ever tried getting teenage boys motivated for their day at school at 7am by candlelight?

I think I'm all set for dinner! So I hope it goes well.

I didn't have any boys. Can imagine, though!

That's just great! I'm really pleased.

And I'm glad you're still enjoying Morse, Ian was so excited about getting that for you!

Morse is great, though I think Ian may be less enthusiastic having been forced to sit through an episode just about every night since I got it!

I'm sure I recall him saying, I can't wait to see an episode of Morse every night!

I don't remember saying that. I think it was more like "I suppose I'll have to..."
