Yesterday was a quiet day, I changed the bed and did the usual bits and pieces of housework. In the afternoon we went to Birkenhead, Ian and David bought a new modem cable to replace the old one which was faulty and kept dropping our internet connection, they failed to buy a new mobile phone for David but I'm sure we'll get one soon. Meanwhile I floated round the stationery shops, looking at pretty things that would make nice cards. I found some lovely paper which I couldn't resist, and also bought some new metallic pens, because my favourite gold pen has run out, (which is a disaster!)

I had scampi for tea which David and Matthew shared with me, but the seafood haters had burgers instead. The evening followed the usual pattern of Morse and card making, though the boys didn't join us this time, because they were busy watching "Seven periods with Mr Gormsby" a very funny NZ series about a politically incorrect teacher in a secondary school, on David's laptop. It arrived in the mail yesterday morning and is definitely on my "to watch" list. I suspect the humour may not travel well because it's based very firmly in NZ culture, but it is very funny!

Today we are waiting for some dining room chairs to be delivered and an Asda order later in the day. David is going out to "Life" at church early this evening, a little later Ian and I will be going to a prayer meeting.

I floated round the stationary shops,
So you were moving but the shops weren't?

Okay, I've corrected the spelling, but the shops weren't moving, so there was nothing wrong with what I'd written, it just wasn't quite what I meant.

Perhaps not, but it created a very surreal image in my sprained mind.

Always happy to create images, perhaps I should paint it?!
